January 1st,2022
Your girl is going to Paris, France! It has always been a dream of mine to go to. I remember in high school I took a French class so I could learn the language and I remember thinking I may never get a chance to visit. Little did I know that someday I would get the chance to actually go! The time has come all these years later!
I got the opportunity to ring in the New Year 2022 in Paris, France with my wife! Eating croissants, drinking cappuccinos, taking pictures of the Eiffel Tower and riding the Big Bus touring around the city is what comes to my mind. Another must have for tourist is the Arc De Triomphe and the Louvre Museum. I am a HUGE Disney World/ Disneyland fanatic!
Documents
To enter France we needed to have our vaccination cards on hand. A COVID test and of course our passports!
I didn’t realize what a culture shock it was to be in another country with new experiences, different language and different culture customs! Never got to see Emily in Paris but just started it! My wife and I traveled to France and neither of us have been to France before!
The downside to France for me was the cigarette smoke, rude people , and language barrier.
Disneyland paris
My wife surprised me with tickets to Disneyland Paris for New Years Eve. At midnight Disney had a New Years Eve After Party! Saddened by the cancellation of the After Party, Disneyland extended its hours to 1 am.
Once we arrived in France we couldn’t wait to go to our hotel [Raddison Blu] on Disney Resort Golf course. Thankfully they had a shuttle bus which took us back and forth to Disneyland! Disneyland Paris is in the country side of Paris. But the Eiffel Tower and the city are an hour away.
We stayed the entire time and had our New Years kiss which was really romantic in Disneyland Paris! We will definitely be back to Paris! There is a 6 hour time difference! We slept for 2 days. Our bodies going ahead in time was really tough on me .
Do’s and don’ts” of travel
France is very expensive and their currency is different than ours. Luckily they have currency counters to exchange American Dollar for Euros. I’m glad Apple has a currency app we use when knowing how much something cost. A credit card is also a must! You may need it for something. It’s always good to be safe then sorry.
When we arrived we paid to use the train service! [BIG mistake]but it was not good for our luggage toting around 3 large suitcases , a carry on and a purse in 20 degree weather. It’ll save you so much stress to just get a taxi to the hotel where you’re staying .
I asked Parisians when summer is there and they said June so we will definitely be back in the summer months! It was way too cold and rainy for us but we soaked it all in and treasure the experience! The Do’s and Don’t of traveling to France!
