Fall Break recap at Walt Disney World! Walt Disney World is celebrating their 50th Anniversary and Eli and I are so excited to be apart of it! Disney may not be for everybody but for those who still hold magic in their hearts from Disney this is HUGE! All year long Disney will celebrate their anniversary.
Disney magic
Now that Eli’s older I feel like he just appreciates vacations more than he ever has! I try to instill in my son to be grateful for everything he has and all the wonderful places he’s gotten to explore and create ever lasting memories.
If you’ve never been to Disney it is so magical! No wonder why they call it the happiest place on earth! The last time Elijah went to Disney he was 3 or 4 years old and he doesn’t remember anything only photos we share with him!
Pandemic mask mandate
Unfortunately we are still in a pandemic so they are requiring masks be worn in indoor activities, inside restraunts, bathrooms and on rides. If you plan to ride the tram or ferry they also require masks stay on the full duration of your ride. Disney does not provide masks. If you do not have any BUY THEM before arriving to the park or you will be sorry ! They will not allow you on rides and inside without it! If yours breaks it’s good to have a backup mask just incase! Better safe then sorry. Some of you have never been to Disney and it is on your bucket list to go. So I’m here to give you a full list of things you’ll need to bring with you and things you can buy at the park. Let’s make your trip a smooth one!
Gratitude
I want to say how incredible blessed I am. In the past 2 years I’ve been able to visit Disney 3 times!
I have the most incredible wife she planned every aspect of this trip from our flight, hotel and car! It really couldn’t have been easier on me! We bought magic bands in December and I wore it for this trip in October! Linking your magic band so you don’t have to keep up with paper passes to enter the park. Just scan your band and go inside to all Disney parks! My wife really made every aspect of this trip perfect for Eli and I!

We decided to spend the full week in Orlando. Took a local flight to Atlanta and then to Orlando! Because of Eli’s school we chose an evening flight. Once we arrived we got settled into our room. We get changed to go swim and grab some food. Each morning we woke up at 7am and I got ready and we were gone by 9:30am to each park!
Take an uber
Unfortunately we had a hiccup in our car rental . I was unable to get the car because I did not have a major credit card at the airport! Word of advice if this happens to you just Uber! Don’t rent a car at all! Uber was the best thing that happened to us once we were done and I was close to the gate they were waiting on me there and they dropped me off every morning at the front gate to each park! No wait at all for an Uber ! $200 for rides plus tip the entire week! Only sad thing is unfortunately losing money on my rental car! You live and you learn! I had a full blown panic attack at the airport with the car rental hosts but thankfully I didn’t want to ruin our trip before it ever got started so we improvised!
Dinsey parks
Disney has 4 main parks
- Magic Kingdom (2)
- Animal Kingdom
- Epcot
- Hollywood Stuidos
- Typhoon Lagoon
- Blizzard Beach
Non Disney Park
- Universal Studios
- Island of Adventure
For Universal Studios I paid extra for the express passes unlimited for both parks! For you mamas that have older children it will save your life!
I truly live for my sons reactions on rides, characters and the overall experience from day to day seeing everything Disney offers! We ate some incredible snacks I do recommend the Dole Whipped ice cream in Animal Kingdom! You won’t regret it!
It was rather hot on our trip in October but it was PERFECT weather only 1/2 day of rain! BRING a PONCHO or an umbrella you never know Floridas unpredictable showers! By the end of the day we could barely bring ourselves to ride the bus back. There are 3 ways to go back to the main parking lot. Bus, tram , or ferry! We were desperate for a shower after a long day at the park and to just lay down before the next day began! Walking is NO JOKE! Bring comfortable tennis shoes is my best advice!

Things you’ll need
Bring with you into the parks
- Empty water bottle to refill (you’ll need to stay hydrated) water is expensive there!
- Backpack or fanny pack! I personally bring a small Louis Vuitton DUPE bumbag ( I pack my wallet, hair ties, phone, portable charger , sunglasses , credit card or Disney gift card, extra masks, hand sanitizer and a spray fan! That can hang around your neck ! We bought ours inside the park! It saved us!
- Sunscreen depending on the time of the year!
- If its cold we bring a jacket that we can tie around us incase it gets too hot, normally in the evening it cools off! So be prepared!
Need at Disney
- Food! Convenience is everything and after a long day walking around its a must!
- Lockers or Strollers if you have little ones!
- Lightning pass or genie+
- download free apps for wait times, reservations to restraunts
Tips to help your day run smooth
- Make a reservation to restraunts ahead of time even a week before spots go fast!
- Buy your tickets ahead of time
- Hydrate stay hydrated drink all the water you can you will need it!
- Keep your outfits simple and wear tennis shoes preferably Hoka tennis shoes! They will save your feet! Trust me! At the end of the day after a long day at the park no one looks the same as they got there! It is hot and sweating! Be comfortable! More is less when it comes to makeup it will sweat off! I wore active wear and it was perfect for me! Here are some of my fits for each park listed below⬇️ If you have any questions please feel free to leave a comment!
