For our birthdayโs this year Eli and I decided to go on a Royal Caribbean cruise! Weโve not been on a cruise since 2023 and when I asked my son what he wanted to do for his birthday he mentioned wanting to go on a cruise. We booked a 6 night Caribbean cruise with Royal Caribbean Allure Of The Seas taking us to Bahamas and Jamaica.
As much as I thought id share my outfits with you guys my vacations always end up being so busy! My mother ended up going on this trip with us and it just felt rushed honestly. I do plan on sharing these outfits for my Fourth of July trip to the beach!
Here is a recap of our trip!

Eli and I ended up going to the beach when we are in Nassau Bahamas, we visited here before as well in 2023 . This is Junkanoo Beach it has the prettiest turquoise waters, white sand beaches and it is free to visit this public beach downtown! Just a heads up it has a party like atmosphere , the locals and tourist smoke weed and itโs loud! If you are looking for family friendly this is NOT it! My best advice would be to go to Baha Mar or Atlantis or another excursion for the day.
We did look into going to Atlantis but it was $195 per person for a day pass and as someone whose not getting in the water I did not believe it was worth spending that on me to sit in a beach chair all day.
Even though the beach is free the chairs and umbrellas are not and even though the locals rely on tourism to make a living EVERYTHING is super expensive! A breakdown of what we spent chairs were $10 each- umbrella $20- and the 2 drinks we had were $18 each they were super small (Pina colada virgin drinks). The last time I was there I ordered a coconut and it was $35. Plus we chose to use a taxi which ended up costing me $40 there and back. $116 just to get off the boat and to sit under and umbrella with drinks. We couldโve chose to walk 15 minutes but I definitely would rather be driven to the beach. In 2023 it was a straight shot to the beach but since then they have built so many shops around the port to encourage tourist to stay in those areas and not go to local places in the Bahamas.
Also if youโve never been to the Bahamas I would advise to bring cash. The currency there is dollar for dollar. However more than likely you wonโt have cell service unless you pay roaming charges or international roaming.
If you are looking for something to do while in Nassau there are several other options. However when you are on a cruise ship you are only on the island for a limited amount of time and for those who arenโt looking to spend a lot of money this is quick and easy way to enjoy the beach.

CocoCay- Royal Caribbeanโs Private Island
CocoCay is one of Eli and I favorite places to stop- [this is only for Royal Caribbean travelers]! The last time we were there we went to Thrill Waterpark (which is an additional cost). This time we decided to do Chill Island which is free offering a beach, complimentary beach loungers and umbrellas, beachside dining at Chill Grill, A Snorkel Shack, and optional private cabanas.

Allure of The Seas

Even though there are a lot of free food options included in the cost of the cruise, there is specialty dining options that you can indulged in for an additional cost we chose Chops Grille Steakhouse which was SOOO delicious! Starting off with this pretzel bread (my favorite)! I chose to get a steak filet mignon and mashed potatoes with a side of macaroni . For an appetizer I chose a wedge salad. Dessert I had key lime pie so yummy and homemade.

For Motherโs Day my wife spoiled me with two massages from the Vitality Spa.
Jamaica
We stopped in Falmouth Jamaica and tbh I did not enjoy it as much as I thought we would. We didnโt plan an excursion but the city did have many shops around the port Eli and I stopped and had some ice cream and took a few pictures but ended up getting right back on the boat.
