Guys we finally did it! We moved! Omg this has been one of the most exciting but the most stressful moments of my life. Since we come to Florida over half of the year when traveling we decided to make it official! We are Floridians! I’ve always talked about wanting to move to Florida but never thought it would be this soon and luckily we got the opportunity to move and took it!
For the first month moving into our home we ended up sleeping on an air mattress and having four to five outfits with me. After being told our stuff would be delivered the next day (big lie). We hired a moving company to move all of our stuff with hopes it would arrive soon our worst nightmare come to fruition. Without properly being informed we had moved with no sign or hope of getting our stuff and spending thousands of dollars to have our stuff arrive into our new home. I will not mention the name of the company we used in this blog post but I will say do your due diligence when finding a reputable moving company. With no one being able to give us a time frame of when our stuff would arrive it finally showed up after a month with ONE yes ONE man to unload and set up all of our furniture. There was no way that I had the man power myself to do the heavy lifting part of the move but thankfully it all did arrive and everything has been set up. I had three weeks to pack everything up and thankfully my grandmother came to help me box and wrap everything delicately so it wouldn’t break.
I didn’t realize how mentally, physically and emotionally exhausted moving takes on someone. I had lost 20lbs over the course of the month with STRESS! I honestly HATE complaining but one thing I absolutely HATE is a thief! The anxiety of living out of a suitcase is not the way I expected my life to go for the month. I know first world problems right?! Well if I would’ve known it would take so long I would have packed and planned better so that it would feel more like home. If you don’t know me I have worked my butt off for the things I have along with the help of my wife also providing for our family. Absolutely nothing was given to us. I was extremely worried along with my family members believing we had gotten scammed! I know it’s just stuff but it was ours!
Closing a chapter in your life can be so hard sometimes to say bye to family and friends along with incredible memories made there and our first home together. I had a lot of firsts in that home and a lot of happy moments! Now I do still get to visit with my family once a month but it’s a little different. I’m so grateful to get this opportunity to still share with all of you the next season of my life and what is in-store for us here in Florida ! I’ve never lived outside of my home state of TN but im so glad for something NEW!
Onto better news after getting our stuff we are finally getting settled in and making our house a home. I have enrolled Eli in a home school program that I absolutely love and enjoy spending our free days at Disney parks or the beach! I plan to get back into my normal routine and start sharing more things over on my Tiktok and Instagram!
