It’s that time of year again, back to school shopping for Eli. This is Eli’s last year of middle school. I get so sad but excited for Eli to go back to school and meet new friends/old friends and new teachers. This year Eli is on the football team and has practice all summer long. I loved having my son with me all summer so glad we got to enjoy his birthday trip to Florida and a trip to Soaky Mountain Waterpark in Sevierville! This summer definitely flew by and I can’t wait for next summer!
Where i shop?
I love going back to school shopping for Eli. They always have the best deals and cutest clothes still for end of summer sale. I always struggle with if I’m going to get him “NEW” clothes or just new clothing for fall/winter. It only stays warm for maybe three more months until I transition his wardrobe into warmer clothing. Since I love to start the new school year fresh, I always get him new clothes. This year we are shopping at Belk for all his clothing essentials. I can find my favorite brands and find quality pieces to add into his wardrobe.
I love that Eli has a sense of style this year but he is very basic when it comes to what he wears. He is in that phase this year of not caring about brands but even if it’s simple I still want him to have nice clothes . This year all of his shirts came from Lucky Brand I really love their mens clothing. I also loved Crown&Ivy, Izod and True Craft for mens shorts.
Shoes
We did not participate in tax free weekend this year [July 28-30th] but I did my shopping for him the day before the sale began. I don’t like fighting the crowd so I try to go early. I scored some great deals on his shoes this year at Rack Room. They had a buy one get one 50% OFF. This year Rack Room had their new New Balance Mens 997h Sneaker in Dark Grey these were a new drop and weren’t on sale but I did get him another pair of Adidas Men’s Lite Racer Adapt 5.0 Sneaker Navy. I love starting out with two or three new pairs of shoes. I did have my eye on new Rainbow sandals for Eli but they didn’t have his size so I have to order online. Rack Room also gives you a $10 OFF coupon in your email or on their website so be on the lookout for that!
School supplies
This year we really didn’t have to buy school supplies. Last year I went and bought school supplies for Eli. But his list from the teachers were completely different then what was listed online. Instead of returning those supplies my wife suggested using it the following year and that’s exactly what we did.
Eli was only missing 5 items from his list this year so I thought Target drive up was perfect. I love being able to place a mobile order and get it within 2 hours. If you haven’t downloaded Target app you’re missing out! It has saved me so much time. Being a Target Circle member cost you nothing but allows you to earn cash back and get great deals.
Backpack
Backpacks are one of my favorite things each year but Eli has reached the age where he only wants an athletic backpack [Nike,Adidas, Under Armor]. Very plain but it was his choice. We chose to order his backpack from Kohls this year! He chose the Nike Heritage backpack on sale for $27.75 .
Ok mamas Pottery Barn Kids is a MUST for the cutest backpacks for your littles+ teens… they have PBK+PBT and they are having up to 50% OFF all backpacks lunchboxes and water bottles. I have monogrammed Elis backpack from them from years ago and is the most study backpack I’ve ever
