October 1st,2022
I know I’ve posted Disney blog posts before but today is going to be a little different. The more I travel the more I learn how to travel with children and how to be successful with traveling! I personally love to fly because we get to our destination faster and it’s just easier imo! My wife was suppose to go with me on this trip but she was just too tired to attend and I got stuck taking my son and niece by myself! I had major anxiety at first just because it can be alot on one person! Due to the fact Hurricane Ian had come through just days before and the weather seemed unsure! But there is so many people in the area and I honestly didn’t think I could do it!!Well I was completely wrong and had no worries because I prepared myself!
I had done alot of research on how to keep children entertained during the flight and the delays during traveling domestic. I went to Target the day before out flight to get some snacks for the kids![Unpopular opinion– I try my best to get the kids to eat healthy but it doesn’t always happen and imo I’d rather get the kids something they WILL eat vs what they won’t and end up wasting money because i’m trying to be the ”healthy” mom! Don’t get me wrong the kids love fruits and healthy yogurts but its very hard to travel with yogurts etc since its considered a liquid/gel TSA will not allow it unless bought inside after you go through security] I also got this adorable Etsy snack bag ill link here! I fell in love with this adorable snack pouch and SCL [Stoney Clover Lane] has so many but they are so expensive and the patches are outrageous ! I truly believe you can cut corners when you can and this pouch is only $13.99 from Etsy shop!
Once we got into the airport immediately the kids started telling me they wanted a snack ! All I had to do was buy them a drink! We don’t eat in the airport usually since I put most of our food money on a Disney gift card it is so easy and convenient to use! For the week with 2 kids and 1 adult I budgeted $1,000 on food for us! That way you are not keeping up with different cards or ”losing cards”.

We got to Disney on October 1st and that was our travel day. We stayed at Disney’s All Star Music Resort. Sunday October 2nd we decided to go to Universals Volcano Bay! The kids really loved Volcano Bay! We purchased tickets in advance. Here are some photos from our trip there!

Hollywood Studios
Monday October 3rd started off our Disney park day with Hollywood Studios! We love HS! Elijah’s favorite ride is Aerosmiths Rock n Rollercoaster and mine is Tower of Terror! We also fell in love with Star Wars Rise of Resistance- it is such a neat experience if you’re a star wars fan! If you’re looking to not stand in long lines I recommend spending the extra $15/day to enjoy a planned day trip! You can start booking your first LL [lightning lane] experience at 7am! You aren’t able to purchase Genie+ until that day for whichever park you’re going too! Some popular rides may charge you a small fee ex[ Rise of Resistance] charges $10-$14 extra person but so worth it . You’re given an exact time and an hour in between to show up for the ride!

Magic Kingdom
Magic Kingdom was the next day+ we got Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party which was such an amazing experience! We enjoyed lunch at Cinderellas Royal Table! Hands down the best steak i’ve ever had in my entire life! The kids even got to meet Cinderella and decorate their own cupcakes! IMO I wouldn’t do Magic Kingdom and Mickeys Halloween Party on the same day it’s just too much with small children. We ended up leaving at 10:15pm. It starts at 7-12am. With park opening at 4pm to Mickeys Not So Scary Halloween Party! I’m so thankful to experience this! It was in the 80’s the entire week with NO rain! Super humid!

Mickeys Not So Scary Halloween Party was just as amazing as you could imagine! The kids and myself got a treat bag with the cutest Lets Boo This! Collecting candy from each land of Magic Kingdom Park with shows including Sanderson Sisters Hocus Pocus! Parades, Fireworks, and special treats only at MNSSHP! Including this amazing funnel cake!

Animal Kingdom
I love the spin on Disney’s Animal Kingdom. I love the real life experience riding the Safari and live lion king show! Such a beautiful experience! We had reservations for dining at Tiffins but chose to cancel while there [they did not charge me for cancelling] but we decided to eat chicken and rise at Yak and Yeti! If you don’t want to spend a ton of money on dining reservations this will make the cut! Total being $60 for 3 meals with drinks! Compared to just mine [$65 Steak dinner at Tiffins]. I couldn’t pass up the Trilo-Bites dole icecream as you see here below! Personal Favorite in Dinoland! Our favorite ride there is in Pandora Avatar Flight of Passage we love flying on the back of a Banshee! We paid extra to ride this ride as well being the most popular right at AK! Lunch was afforable and each of us ate an icecream snacks+water+drinks. The kids ate Sesame Chicken at Yak&Yeti.

Epcot
Lastly we ended with Epcot since it’s the least amount of thrill rides and really rides in general we enjoyed Epcots Food&Wine Festival showcasing the worlds foods and drinks in each country around the world! We started off with Test Track, Ratatouille , and Frozen! Mama slipped in 2 drinks and it was much NEEDED! Me+ the kids ate Chicken wings and loaded fries for lunch. Again we cancelled out Le Cellier Steakhouse dinner to eat chicken wings. Once we rode a handful of rides we left to allow the kids to play in the pool resort and for me to pack our suitcases for an early flight the next morning! Thank you all for reading this blog post!
